Maternity & Postpartum
You’ll get one-on-one support from a Certified Community Health Worker and Registered Nurse throughout your pregnancy. Our care team provides education on a healthy pregnancy, helps arrange lab work, ultrasounds, and doctor visits, and is available for any questions that come up. Plus, our physicians have collectively delivered thousands of babies in the Gorge!

Our Perinatal Program gives you personal support from a certified community health worker and a registered nurse throughout your pregnancy. Vicky, Delfina, and Esther offer education, help with lab work, ultrasounds, and doctor visits, and answer any questions. Our doctors have delivered many babies in the Gorge, and all services are available in English and Spanish.
What do we offer?
We provide prenatal care at our health centers in The Dalles and Hood River, along with support from a community health worker and a registered nurse through our Perinatal Program. We help you apply for health insurance, offer delivery at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital with an experienced OCH doctor, and provide postpartum and family planning care at both locations.
How does our pregnancy care work?
Your family doctor at One Community Health provides prenatal care before and after delivery, and a team of experienced obstetric doctors can deliver your baby at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. Most visits are with your chosen doctor, and you will meet others who may assist at delivery. A perinatal community health worker supports you throughout pregnancy, answers questions, and helps you get the care you need.
